Remembering Peter Livington . . .

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Mr. Peter Livingston, our treasured friend, passed away on February 25, 2023, in Plumas County, California. He was 71 years old.

For decades Peter made his home in the forests of Plumas, known as Upper Dixie. As Peter often said, “I count myself amongst the very fortunate few in this world who have lived in many beautiful places.”

Peter cared about so many people, and it is clear from his words that he, “would have liked to say a personal thanks & goodbye.” He also wrote: “I feel very loved and supported by everybody. Every person who knew, to one degree or another, that I have been struggling, has reached out and offered 100% support. For that, I hope others will accept my gratitude.”

Many will remember Peter’s snapshots out his bedroom window as his Morning Show, shared on Facebook. His love of Post-its is well known, and his ability to procrastinate was olympian. He was an appreciator of gongs, ringing bowls, and spiritual paths. He was a chai guru – the patient teacher of the spiritual practice of making tea in the authentic style of the street vendors of southern India.

Peter, you are - and will always be - missed by many.

May your generous soul rest in peace, and light perpetual shine upon you.

More thoughts are posted by Janine, Bruce and David Livingston, and many friends, on Peter’s Facebook page.
