So, last week, two things happened to & for me: I nearly lost my life on HWY 880 coming home from work where I totally was divested of my beloved 2007 Red Prius and now quite totaled means of transportation. AND I announced at work that I will be retiring at long last when I turn 67 in August...67?! However will that come to pass, BTL Campers? I mean, I’m still only 18, right? And however did some schmuck hit my car from the rear and force me into the left lane where my car struck poor (and “I’m jess minding my drivin’ business”) Ms. Diem Thi Ngoc’s Toyota? 👀😳👎😡
That noted, Campers, the bottom lines for me are these:
1. I’m still able to”fog up a mirror,” so I’m here...
2. Everyone survived the accident including the driver that hit me from behind and that had the balls or ovaries to “hit and run” me, and I’m still here...so, were you high on drugs or drunk or driving without a license or an insurance card or just a stupid piece of crap? Geezy-Peezy, Peeps!
3. I am going to be retired come the time for Camp this October when I see Y’all (hate that lazy word! 😳,) and I’ll be there...will you?
4. Life is still good. No, it’s quite grand actually. I’m here. There. And everywhere. And I get to go BTL! And that makes me one happy camper. It also makes life even “gooder.” And did I really just use that word? OY!
Come back to camp and find out. I’ll leave my light on, my Campers!
Saying it out loud, or even thinking it quietly, the name Lodestar conjures up powerful memories and reflections. And meaning.
