A Lodestar Memory, 1968: I have been safely tucked in my bunk as my dorm mates have drifted off around me. It’s a warm summer night, the stars are shining brighter than usual, and it’s midnight; time to sneak out of the dorms. Carefully placing my feet in my well-placed sneakers, I stealthily make my way to the door. As I open the door, I’m praying it won’t squeak. Phew, we’re good. As I close it behind me, I look both ways, and then, make a mad dash for the meadow. There I find my friend patiently waiting for me under the make-out tree and… Yep, I bet more than one of you former Lodestar campers remember sneaking out of the dorms. Come on! Come Back to Lodestar and share your midnight story, or better yet, sneak out once again and meet your special friend under the make-out tree and….

I remember the staff hiking up Blue Mountain by moonlight. Our motto was "What happens at Lodestar, stays at Lodestar."
